Tata Projects, the construction arm of Tata Group, is into the business of executing large and complex infra projects across the geography of the Country. Some of these projects are of immense national importance. The major business line includes building Metro for various cities, (including Delhi and Mumbai) Building Airports, Bridges and smart cities. Erecting steel and power plants, Transmission and distribution of electricity across the country.

As a supply chain – category lead, I am responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain of commodities; the role requires a deep understanding of the global market, entailing price and demand forecasting, logistics & warehousing, risk and financial management along with expertise in team handling.

PGPX, I believe has empowered me to handle this role efficiently. Tools and concepts learned at IIMU equipped me with Domain expertise of supply chain management while enhancing my analytical abilities for critical decision-making. The Purdue component brought a lot of exposure in terms of team management and handling cross-cultural deals.

The course also offered two internships opportunities (one in India and another one in the USA) that gave me a platform to test these concepts in real industrial setup.

Overall, it has been an extremely enriching experience, adequately empowering me to deliver for these projects of nation-building.
