Twenty canines are present on the campus. Initially, the canines were fed by the residents and students residing on the campus. In the past, complaints about the aggressive behaviour of the canines were coming in regularly. Therefore, at the request of the residents, the Administration decided that the Institute would take care of canine food and vaccinate the stray dogs on campus.

Accordingly, the Estate department built four feeding stations across the campus (two in the residential area, one at the main gate, and one in the hostel area), and a dedicated agency has been hired to take care of the canines, their food, and their well-being.
