• I have had around 20 years of Marketing and Sales management experience as well as had company leadership CXO/CEO positions at leading global firms like Godrej & Boyce, Leo Burnett, M&C Saatchi ME, Supermax ME, AATCO-Kerry Foods ME, Heinz AMEA and Switz IBake AMEA. In all the sectors or firms that I have worked in/for, I have had hands-on experience in Strategy, Turn-around/Restructuring, Acquisitions, International Business Development, Sales & Marketing (at both B2C/B2B), Operations & Corporate Management.
• My industry experience has been across Process/ FMCG / Food / Durables / Advertising, 15 of them in global markets having travelled & worked across 45+ countries of EU, ME, Asia & Africa for business development and consolidation. Last 12 years in CXO/CEO positions, I have gone on to head organisations that are category leaders across both global and regional footprints.

• Since 2015, as Visiting Faculty have taught various Marketing/Strategy courses to different batches of IIM Udaipur, IIM Shillong, XIM Bhubaneswar, SPJGSM, We School.

• International Marketing Strategy (IMS), Product Innovation Management & Strategy (PIMS), B2B Marketing Strategy and International Business in Practice (IBP).
• Relationship Management & Personal Selling (RMPS).

• Have conducted MDP programs for fischer ME, SVC Bank, Adecco, Automatic Terrazo Tiles LLC and AAKGC Group Oman. Mentor to Start-ups Bloom, We Care& Dare and Winner LifeSkills.

IMS:

• Prof. Rao has been one of the most engaging faculties at IIM Udaipur. It has been an absolute pleasure to have learnt from him!.
• Professor Rao stimulated interest in the subject and taught in a fun and systematic manner. He shared his experiences which helped me understand the topics and better relate to the course outline. Professor Rao should take more courses in the future since his manner of teaching is quite interesting and thought provoking.
• Mr. Mahesh is a very nice, reasonable and a lovely person to talk and share views regarding the matter of this new subject. He is man of practice and stemming from his rich experience, our class discussions were effective…

• Amazing course, great pedagogy.
• Best course of year 2 of MBA.
• Excellent faculty who is so knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches.
• A very holistically and thoroughly designed course, with great value addition especially from the faculties end. The cases discussed gave a wholesome idea about the subject. The course, especially the faculty shall definitely be continued!.
• Thoroughly explains how a product innovation till the launch takes place. A great course & is of tremendous value. Professor well explains everything.
• Enjoyed the course. This course should be made mandatory in the first year rather than as an elective so that everybody can make an informed decision about whether they want to make a career in the Prodman domain or not.

B2BMS:

• Well designed course, Clear and concise.
• The instructor helps in all possible ways which helps in developing me further. The instructor helps with giving multiple scenarios to clarify the raised doubt.
• The course design has been clearly defined and also followed as given. The tasks to be submitted are conveyed prior the next session. Teaching quality, all the concepts are taught perfectly to the point and the presentation slides are also informative and easy to understand.

IBP:

• Sir helped us shaping our solutions and validating our assumptions based on secondary data. He guided us at every step of the process and deliverables.
• The value addition that we had because of him was immense. His feedbacks and suggestions were thorough and frequent.
• The course was very relevant but having a dedicated instructor is vital for that purpose. For IBP Dubai, Mahesh sir created a lot of value & provided us guidance throughout, which I am not sure was the same for the other countries.
