The Committee of Academic Affairs and Development (ACAD) is a vital organ of the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur. It provides an interface between the student community, the faculty, and the institute’s management in order to address any academic issues that the students face. The Committee’s main objective is to ensure a healthy academic atmosphere and enhance the learning experience for the students. It monitors the students’ academic experience and makes recommendations pertaining to the PGP and PGPX to the Program Office. It constantly looks at the latest changes that are coming up in the field of management and provides recommendations to the Program Office on reflecting these changes in the curriculum to make students academically ready to meet industry demands. It is driven to add value to the students’ overall academic growth.
ACAD plays an important role in guiding the students in selecting their electives. It organizes course and domain-related workshops to help students make optimal decisions in their elective selections. ACAD also arranges sessions to help students cope with their studies and overcome any problems they might be facing.
ACAD also works closely with the International Relations Office to make the Student Exchange Program (STEP) a success and is involved in the Rural Immersion (RI) Program as well.
ACAD plays a vital role in managing communication with the global academic community and nurturing relations. The communication is in regard with various institutes and aims to develop an ecosystem for mutual learning of culture and lifestyle along with academics. In sum, ACAD helps the students to realize their educational aspirations and achieve excellence in their academics.
