Governance and Administration

The International Relations and Languages Committee (IRL) is a core entity at the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur. Acting as a bridge between the student community and the International Relations Office, IRL addresses any issues related to international relations and is dedicated to fostering a global perspective among students. Its vision is to establish IIMU as a renowned institution for global exposure and to cultivate a global citizen network through transformative cross-cultural exchange. IRL serves as the primary point of contact for all communications related to the International Relations Office. IRL’s main objective is to ensure that students have an enriching and seamless international experience.

The committee plays a pivotal role in facilitating international programs i.e. the Student Exchange Program (STEP) and International Business in Practice (IBP). IRL provide comprehensive support to outgoing STEP and IBP students throughout the application, visa, and registration processes. Additionally, we seek partnerships with industry leaders to secure exclusive benefits for IIMU students, such as travel discounts. By coordinating international programs and activities that align with students' academic and professional goals, we strive to create a vibrant global community on campus.

IRL is dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive campus environment for incoming international students. We focus on ensuring a smooth transition for exchange students by organizing comprehensive orientation programs and guided campus tours. Our efforts include engaging students in cultural events and social activities, fostering a sense of belonging and cross-cultural understanding. We also prioritize collecting timely feedback from the students to address any issues they encounter with the support from Students Affairs office and International Relations Office, ensuring their experience is unique and remarkable.

IRL also offers language learning opportunities in different languages based on the demand from the student community. We carefully select our instructors to ensure that students receive high-quality instruction and remain on a continuous learning path. The students are also assessed at the end of the course with the help of the course instructor. Our aim is to equip students with essential language skills to thrive in a globalized business world.
