Indian Institute of Management Udaipur paid tribute to a pivotal chapter in history that forever impacted countless lives. The institute organised a special event on August 14th to mark the "Partition Horrors Remembrance Day," reflecting on the profound consequences of the historic partition that reshaped nations and individuals.
The event's honoured guest, Shri Harish Chandra Talreja, a witness to the partition's atrocities and a notable businessman and writer, shared his insights. The occasion commenced with the inauguration of an exhibition showcasing textual accounts and photographs related to India's partition. Shri Harish Chandra Talreja and IIM Udaipur's Director, Prof. Ashok Banerjee, jointly planted two symbolic plants to mark the solemn occasion.
The program continued with the screening of "Children of Partition," a poignant short film. Chief Guest Shri Harish Chandra Talreja and Prof. Ashok Banerjee then delivered their addresses. The event concluded with a collective rendition of the National Anthem, fostering a sense of unity and remembrance.
