On March 25th, IIM Udaipur launched the 2nd issue of IIM Udaipur’s Business Review Magazine. The event was graced by the presence of several dignitaries belonging to eclectic backgrounds, ranging from eminent academicians to corporate trailblazers. The dignitaries at the inauguration included Prof Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur, Prof Avijit Raychaudhuri, Operations Management, and Quantitative Methods, IIM Udaipur, Prof Shobhit Aggarwal, Finance and Accounting, IIM Udaipur, and R Chandrasekhar, In-charge, Centre for Supply Chain Management, IIM Udaipur.
The chief guest for the event was, Mr. Rajneesh Bansal - Head of Procurement and Supply Chain with Adani Wilmar Limited. Mr. Bansal is a management graduate from IIM-Kozhikode and has in-depth experience in Business Development, Corporate Communication, and Supply Chain functions in a career spanning more than 28 years across Infrastructure, Agriculture, and FMCG sectors.
Mr. Rajneesh stressed the use of Digital Transformation along with extensive use of Data Analytics and Visual Dashboarding to create a more responsive and agile Supply Chain. The book launch concluded with an emphasis on the Macro level of concerns in India’s logistics space and the opportunities it presents for budding Supply Chain professionals.
Prof Janat Shah stressed the emphasis that IIM-U places on academic research and the journey of the Supply Chain from an ancillary talking point to a competitive differentiator and a burning board-room talking point (accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic).
To further this vision the theme for the second issue is Global Supply Chain Management and is titled "Supply Chain Management - The Big Picture to Efficiency".
