The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIMU) marked the 78th Independence Day of India with a spirited celebration, reflecting the institute's dedication to unity, progress, and cultural diversity. The day began with the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag by Director Prof. Ashok Banerjee, followed by the national anthem, instilling a profound sense of patriotism among all present.
In his address, Prof. Banerjee emphasized the importance of embracing individuality and urged everyone to strive for excellence while staying true to their unique identities. He highlighted that true freedom is achieved not through imitation but through innovation and authenticity.
The festivities were further enlivened by a series of captivating performances. The musical society, Octaves, set the tone with their soul-stirring renditions of patriotic songs, followed by the graceful dance routines of FootworX. The drama club, Live Puppets, presented a thought-provoking play that entertained and evoked reflection on the essence of freedom. The event culminated in a lively dance performance by the security and staff members.
