The Ministry of Human Resource Development established the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in September 2015. This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions nationwide according to parameters covering: Teaching, Learning and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity; and Perception.
