The Ministry of Education established the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in September 2015. This framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions nationwide according to parameters covering: Teaching, Learning, and Resources; Research and Professional Practice; Graduation Outcomes; Outreach and Inclusivity; and Perception.

IIM Udaipur is ranked 22nd by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2024 in the Management Category. The institute attained a score of 60.93.
