Who can Apply?

• A foreign national holding a passport other than India will be treated as a “Foreign National” and can apply under the International Applicant category.
• An Indian national passport holder will be treated as an “Overseas Candidate” and can apply under international category only if the candidate has resided outside India for a minimum of 18 months in the last 36 months.

Interested applicants may note the following:

• The admission process and conditions of eligibility etc., as they apply to domestic applicants, will also apply to International Applicants.
• There is no application fee for the PhD program for International as well as domestic candidates.

Fees and Financing

Please note the international candidates are provided with the same financial assistance and stipend as domestic candidates both provided in Indian rupees which requires a candidate to have an Indian bank account.
